In 1815 at the age of 20 Robert Pringle set up his first factory under the name Waldie, Pringle, Wilson and Co. at the Whiskey House Mill in Siltrig Cresent, Hawick, Scotland. In 2002 Pringle is acquired and returned to private ownership headed by Kim Winser. The brand is repositioned, now holding catwalk shows for London and Milan Fashion Week.
