| ADDITIONAL INFORMATION | Stone Island is an Italian Designer brand from Sportswear Company (SPW) based in Bologna. The label was set up by Italian designer Massimo Osti in 1982 as a secondary line or diffusion collection of his main C.P Company label. The brand was remarkable for specialising in surface treatment of fabrics and dyeing techniques. The original designer was Massimo Osti, famous for the unique use of innovative fabric, coupled with functional design, first in outerwear and then evolving into the complete collection of today. A feature of a Stone Island garment is the compass patch that buttons onto the upper sleeve of the left arm. Originally the patches were green edged, badges from around the year 2000 onwards became black edged. Also, there are the rarer \'white badges\' which were originally made on certain jackets for the millennium. The white badge is still available on limited edition jackets. The Stone Island Compass logo is one of the most distinctive and respected icon on the street today A designer label.
