ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
British designer Dame Vivienne Westwood brought punk-inspired designer fashion into the mainstream single handed. From the opening of the first boutique in 1970 alongside her partner at the time Malcolm McLaren (manager of the Sex Pistols), to the modern day collection including men\'s and womenswear Vivienne Westwood has always held iconic status.

Westwood came to public notice when she made clothes for Malcolm McLaren\'s boutique in the King\'s Road, which became famous as \'SEX\'. It was their ability to synthesise clothing and music that shaped the 70s punk scene, dominated by McLaren\'s band, the Sex Pistols. She was deeply inspired by the shock-value of punk - \"seeing if one could put a spoke in the system\". Westwood’s first catwalk show was presented in 1981, featuring the collaboration of Westwood and Malcolm McLaren under the World’s End label. Westwood is largely responsible for bringing modern punk and new wave fashions into the mainstream and now produces three lines under her own name – Gold Label, Red Label, and the younger diffusion line, Anglomania. Anglomania is a younger diffusion line that uses classic and iconic Vivienne Westwood prints and fuses together with contemporary fabrics and designs. Anglomania retains a punk edge similar to Westwood\'s earlier designs whilst having a modern touch, making it accessible to every woman.

Vivienne Westwood has been revolutionising fashion in London since 1971, when she opened her first shop on Kings Road with Malcolm McLaren. A pioneer of punk, Westwood’s radical and provocative designs are inspired by a foray of historical eras.Vivienne Westwood Lee Jeans use the vast denim knowledge from the American designer and are given cuts and individual finishing touches from Westwood that we have come to know and cherish. With a range of colours and fits there is a style to suit all and with each pair having the DNA from two of the finest design brands they are a sure fire wardrobe investment.

Vivienne believes that fashion is a combination and exchange of ideas between France and England; On the English side we have tailoring and an easy charm, on the French side that solidity of design and proportion that comes from never being satisfied because something can always be done to make it better, more refined.
